Why Isn't A Ceramic Coating For You?

Price
One reason is going to be price. I see it a lot, sticker shock. I understand this because some coatings can be pricey. But, I don't see price really as a negative to having your car coated.
There's a lot of things that go into a ceramic coating; most of it is the prep work. So making sure you're paying to have the proper prep work done will ensure the coating will last.

And when it comes to price, you need to see the value it will add to your car.
In many cases, if you add up the cost of having your car detailed, even just once a month, the price will exceed the coating cost.
It's also an investment in helping to protect the surfaces of your vehicle inside and out. You'll see that return on investment when you go to trade your car in, or you go to sell it.
Maintaining your car.
One of the other things is maintenance. If you can't keep up on the maintenance regularly, a coating might not be for you. This is part of the reason why I created the maintenance program.
Ceramic coatings are no different than not having a ceramic coating on your vehicle. Your vehicle still needs to be cleaned. The coating needs to be maintained regularly to keep it performing as it should.
Car washes
If you like using tunnel washes, this will be something you'll need to try to avoid. Tunnel washes use pretty harsh chemicals, and they can inhibit the benefits of having a ceramic coating.
Most ceramic coating companies will void any warranty if you use tunnel washes.
I understand that tunnel washes are quick and convenient. Still, they often cause damage to your car's paint and usually aren't very good at cleaning.
A ceramic coating is designed to make car care easier for you. So washing will be a lot more effortless.
We always recommend if you have to, use a touch-less wash but use it sparingly.
I hope this helps when it comes to your ceramic coating decision.
