Are You Cleaning Your Car Enough?

How often should you detail your car?

And I don't mean a quick vacuum, and we're done.

I'm talking about cleaning, sanitizing, and protecting the interior and exterior of your car, getting into all the areas that dirt and debris can hide.

I may not know your car and its condition, so I can't recommend how we should go about detailing it.

I can recommend how often you get it done.

The interior of your car is an entirely controllable environment. What I mean by that is you can control how dirty it gets.

Kick your boots off before getting in during the winter. If you're going to drink, use a sealed container. Try to keep eating in your car to a minimum (I know we all do it, and sometimes it's unavoidable).

The exterior is a little challenging, however. Nothing short of not diving is the only way to keep it clean and free of whatever comes its way.

So, how often?!

Most detailers I know will agree once a month for the interior and twice a month for the exterior.

Remember, regularly maintaining your car will make detailing it quick and easy, and this level of maintenance is perfect for a daily driver.

The longer you let things go, the more challenging and time-consuming it'll take to clean up.

Try not to clean your kitchen for a month, and let me know how easy it was.

It's the same way for your car. The longer spots and stains sit, the more difficult they can be to remove.

The same goes for the exterior. Bug guts, and tree sap, can all etch your car's paint. They sometimes can be removed, but we have to spend more time polishing which costs more money.

I've mentioned before in previous videos and such that polishing is something you don't want to be doing all the time.

Besides, who doesn't love the feel of a clean, sharp-looking car?
